fair furnisher recruits refugees who help recycle reusable resources from exhibition stands at trade fairs. The refugees receive guidance on how to recycle discarded materials from trade fairs (furniture, walls or decoration of any kind) for their own use or for sale. An online portal has been created where companies can list the materials that are left over after a trade fair and indicate when they become available. After the trade fair ends these resources are brought into a dedicated shed on the fair grounds which is also used for the recycling process. This is where all the work takes place, where the furniture is made and where the logistics and sale are organised. The revenue is partly donated and partly used to finance the employees. Stephanie Meyer works in the live communication sector while Lars Zimmermann is an architect working with trade fair construction.
