dokART
09.11.2015
For over 24 years the international documentary festival dokumentART in Neubrandenburg (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) has been organised by the Latücht Film & Medien association, which also runs the local art house cinema and a media workshop. We offer apprenticeships for media designers and event technicians. Latücht is well-connected in the city and an accredited youth welfare organisation.
In future our festival office, the cinema and the media workshop will offer training and job experience opportunities for 8-10 young refugees per year. A special programme will allow them to learn the basics of working at the festival, the media workshop and the cinema and to use and develop their German language skills. During the 24th festival edition 20 refugees volunteered in our festival team; we wish to continue this on a structural basis. In the long run, the new recruits will share in the responsibility for drafting the programme. In addition, internships and jobs will be offered on a freelance basis during the festival. Besides, the new recruits serve as multipliers for the festival, the cinema and the media workshop among the refugee community.Kontakt: Heleen Gerritsen, gerritsen(at)latuecht.de
